SUMMARY:
Are you a well-seasoned desktop support consultant looking to join a well-established automotive company? Our client is seeking for a skilled and proactive Desktop Support consultant to join their IT team in Johannesburg East. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all end-user IT support issues, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of desktop, software, and hardware issues across the business.

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a leading player in the automotive industry, providing innovative dealership management solutions and aftersales support. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-line desktop support for end users (onsite and remote).
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, and other business applications.
• Assist with user account management in Active Directory, Exchange, and other systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates of hardware and software.
• Respond to and resolve IT service tickets in a timely manner, ensuring documentation is up-to-date.
• Set up and manage video conferencing tools and boardroom technology.
• Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and audits.
• Support users in accordance with company IT policies and procedures.

• 3–5 years' experience in a Desktop Support or IT Support Consultant role.
• Proven experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, Office 365, and desktop hardware.
• Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
• IT-related diploma or degree (e.g., in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar).
• Must be willing to work after-hours or on weekends when required.
