Job Specification: Application Owner (On-site - Contract Role)

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Application Owner to lead the management and development of a critical in-house application. This role requires an equal balance of technical expertise and people management skills to ensure seamless operation, continuous improvement, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Management:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of the application, including maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization.

  • Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability to meet evolving business needs.

• Project Leadership:

  • Drive the re-platforming and re-engineering of the application, taking ownership of end-to-end execution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

  • Implement project management best practices, tracking milestones, and managing risks.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance application performance.

• People Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional growth.

  • Ensure clear communication and alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Application Owner, Product Owner, or similar role.

• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development or system architecture.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex technical projects.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills.

• Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
