Locations: Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Howick & Pretoria
Salary: R35 000 – R40 000 CTC per month

An exciting opportunity is available for an Agronomist with strong technical knowledge and an interest in working directly with farmers, agents and agricultural products.
The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers, assist with agricultural product trials and support the marketing and sales of seed products.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant agricultural qualification and/or applicable seed industry experience
- 2–5 years’ relevant experience
- Knowledge or experience within the seed industry
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English – read, write and speak
- Valid driver’s licence – non-negotiable
- Own transport
- Good computer literacy and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong relationship-building ability
- Responsible, punctual and self-motivated
- Willing to travel and work overtime/weekends during peak agricultural periods
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice to farmers and agricultural agents
- Assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of trials for new and existing products
- Communicate relevant product information to farmers and agents
- Deliver presentations at farmer days and study groups
- Support the marketing and promotion of seed products
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Assist with developing and achieving sales budgets
- Monitor performance against agreed goals
- Assist with stock takes and consignment stock management
The ideal candidate will combine strong agricultural knowledge with excellent people skills and be comfortable working both independently and directly with customers in the field.
