Administration Manager Construction

JOB DESCRIPTION:

General Description of Position
The Administration Manager position is responsible for making sure that the company’s Human Resources and administrative support services are in place and running smoothly. The position includes a wide range of support functions with particular emphasis and focuses on:
  • Planning & coordinating administrative procedures & developing systems to streamline processes.
  • Recruiting & Training of personnel
  • Administer & Manage Human Resources processes & procedures
  • The management and administrative execution of Wages/Payroll/Policy/Benefits and all related activities.
  • Assessing administration staff performance & provide coaching & guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
  • The Procurement of Office Supplies
  • Housekeeping
  • Site Administration Support
  • Organization Communication Processes
  • IT support processes and interactions
  • Ensure HR databases are updated and maintained
  • Team development & company communication strategies
Work Experience Requirements
This position requires a self-motivated individual with at least 5 to 10 years of experience in the same or a similar environment. In particular, the position requires demonstrated experience in:
  • Communication Skills with particular emphasis on strong listening skills and the ability to collaborate with co-workers, management, staff, customers, and suppliers as well as any other party
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Email)
  • Attention to detail and ensuring that the right thing is done right every time.
  • Leadership Skills that are required to motivate, discipline, and resolve conflict on a regular basis.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills to continuously review cost-saving opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, apply best practice recruitment and training processes, and generally find better ways of conducting daily operations.
  • Generating repeat work daily
Education Requirements
  • Minimum of a Matriculation / Grade 12 Certificate
  • National Tertiary Qualification in Business Administration/Human Resources or similar
  • National Certificate/Diploma in Administration and/or Secretarial Services
