- Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and academic support sessions.
- Develop and update learning material in line with curriculum requirements.
- Assess, mark, and moderate assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic guidance to students.
- Monitor student performance and implement support interventions where required.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to academic administration and quality assurance processes.
- Engage in research, scholarly activity, and professional development.
- Support student recruitment, retention, and engagement activities.
Minimum Requirements- Honours Degree in Accounting (NQF 8).
- Master’s degree in accounting or related field will be advantageous.
- Previous lecturing, tutoring, or tertiary education teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in academic administration and assessment processes.
Subject Knowledge RequiredCandidates should be able to lecture in one or more of the following areas:
- Financial Accounting
- Taxation
- Auditing
- Financial Management
- Business Statistics
Preferred Requirements- CA(SA) designation or progress towards professional registration.
- Research and publication experience.
- Experience within a higher education environment.
- Honours Degree in Accounting
