Description: High Level

 Reporting to Executive Director

  • Key performance areas:
  • Collections - debit order collection and bordereaux payers (gross payers and net payers) collections - timely analysis, management of collections according to set deadlines and dynamic changes to collections including rejections/re-submissions, cash deposits etc. and timely reconciliation – this entails reconciliation of debtors and requires excellent excel skills
  • Resolving with appropriate debtors resolution of differences
  • Reporting according to stringent deadlines the collections information components on insurer bordereaux for four insurers
  • Managing outsource fee invoices and collection with insurers
  • Disbursements - commissions/fees/premium; remittance advisements to broker/service providers/policyholders
  • Reporting:
  • Insurance premium collection; claims payments; outstanding claims; portfolio performance reports per product per insurer
  • Validating report information as accurate with correlation to other available information
  • Key group client liaison/servicing requirements
  • Ad hoc/periodic responsibilities:
  • Annual renewal - product specific – involvement in annual renewal product changes process through to finality to ensure understanding of impact on collections and disbursements changes according to effective dates
  • Incumbent would be expected to get up to speed with legislation/parameters governing the industry and company in particular within one month of employment and to take industry based exams within 5 months of employment and to keep up with continuous professional development in the industry.
