SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Accountant for a permanent role based in Durbanville, Western Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with an accounting degree and at least 5 years’ related experience and completed articles
Valid drivers and own transport
Must be fluent in both English & Afrikaans
Willing to work overtime when needed at month end
Sober habits, good work ethic, well organized and adaptable
Good communication skills both telephonically and via email

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Stock reconciliation and journals
Assisting on stock takes
Ensure invoices are SARS compliant
Month end journals
Intercompany invoices and calculation thereof
Maintain hire purchases and monthly allocation
Capture new assets on hire purchase agreement
Maintain large Fixed Asset Register on a monthly basis (4 companies)
Calculation of depreciation and monthly journals
Opening balance journals after audit
Recon internal loan accounts
Rental invoicing and collection of rent
Assist FM with yearly audit
Accountant will be handling the full function on four smaller entities

Salary: R35 000.00 – R38 000.00 per month for the ideal candidate + provident after probation & 13th cheque
