POSITION INFO:
Are you an organised and detail-driven Accountant looking for the right mix of structure and flexibility? An innovative company in the mobility solutions space is seeking an Accountant to join their finance team in Midrand. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to manage the full accounting function while enjoying two work-from-home days a week.

As the Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial management, from reconciliations and reporting to compliance and controls. This is a hands-on position that will allow you to work across multiple areas of finance while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
 
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Full Function Accounting: Manage daily accounting processes, including journals, cashbooks, credit follow-ups and reconciliations.
• Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with financial statements.
• Compliance: Handle VAT submissions and statutory returns, and ensure adherence to financial controls.
• Month-End & Year-End: Support the finance team with closing activities and audit preparation.
• Process Support: Assist with improving systems and processes for greater efficiency.

• BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance - advantageous 
• 2–3 years commercial accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Xero
• Detail-oriented, organised, and deadline-driven
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
