SUMMARY:
Position available for an Accountant / Bookkeeper based in Cape Town.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

Ideally a tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field
Qualified by experience will also be considered
Preferably 3 years’ work experience
Intermediate excel skills
Computer literacy in Microsoft office essentials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Familiarity with Xero (Accounting Software)
Experience in the hotel / hospitality industry

Responsibilities:

Entering financial data into spreadsheets and accountancy software
Bank reconciliation across various group entities
Inter-company loan reconciliations
Payment run preparations
Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce timely financial reports
Assisting with monthly management accounts
Maintain and reconcile Asset Register
Prepare and submit monthly PAYE
Handle all communication with Hotel group in the UK.
Review and maintain ledgers and prepare cash and stock reconciliations
Capture and submit monthly payrolls
Processing Payroll Journals and Salary control reconciliation
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Ensure payroll data is kept up to date

POSITION INFO:
Position available for an Accountant / Bookkeeper based in Cape Town. Must have: Ideally a tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field, Qualified by experience will also be considered, Preferably 3 years’ work experience, Intermediate excel skills, Computer literacy in Microsoft office essentials, Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Familiarity with Xero (Accounting Software), Experience in the hotel / hospitality industry.
