Accountant Assistant (Paper Manufacturing Industry)

SUMMARY:
A leading manufacturing company within the paper industry is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant Assistant to join its Finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional with experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management and financial reporting.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting or Finance
• CIMA qualification or studying towards CIMA will be advantageous
• SAICA/SAIPA articles or equivalent experience will be advantageous
• Previous experience within the paper, pulp, packaging, printing, converting or FMCG manufacturing industry will be highly advantageous.
• 3–5 years' experience in a similar role within a medium to large manufacturing environment
• Experience with standard costing, variance analysis and management reporting
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Syspro, JDE or Oracle
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with manufacturing cost accounting and standard costing
• Perform variance analysis and prepare financial reports
• Support inventory management and stock control processes
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Provide financial support to manufacturing operations
• Assist with cost optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and reporting requirements
