1. Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant who can manage core accounting functions while also supporting key operational activities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, well-organised, and comfortable working across finance, administration, and basic operations. Experience in rental property management will be an advantage.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Accounting & Finance
- Perform monthly creditor reconciliations and maintain accurate supplier accounts.
- Capture and reconcile bank transactions
- Process invoices, credit notes, payments and ensure all supporting documentation is in place.
- Assist with month-end close, including journals and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and support audit requirements.
- Prepare ad-hoc management reports as required.
- Complete credit applications for customers and suppliers.
- Capture and reconcile credit card transactions
B. Operational Support
- Review and verify daily and weekly sales orders to ensure accuracy and proper approval.
- Capture, check and reconcile employee time sheets, ensuring alignment with payroll requirements.
- Liaise with production/operations teams to resolve discrepancies in orders or hours.
- Support stock and production control processes where required.
- Capture and verify purchase orders
C. Property Administration
- Assist with rental invoicing, tenant statements and receipting.
- Track lease agreements, escalation dates and deposit requirements.
- Follow up on outstanding tenant documentation or compliance items
- Support property rental administration
D. HR & Administrative Tasks
- Assist with onboarding documentation, maintaining employee records and leave tracking.
- Support payroll preparation through accurate timesheet capture and data verification.
- Handle general administrative tasks, filing, and document management.
3. Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10-15 years’ experience in an accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliations and accounting processes.
- Experience working with ERP/Accounting systems (Sage Evolution advantageous).
- Proficient in Excel and general Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in rental property administration will be beneficial.
