POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Prepare and process monthly journals, accruals, and accounting adjustments
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances where required
Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger across various entities
Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes and related transactions
Assist with the compilation of management accounts and financial reporting packs
Ensure all financial records and supporting documentation are accurate and adequately maintained
Support the preparation of annual financial statements and audit requirements
Assist in strengthening financial controls and improving accounting processes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information
Support the broader finance team with reporting and ad hoc accounting requirements

Skills & Experience:

Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar accounting role
Strong understanding of month-end reporting processes and balance sheet reconciliations
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Qualification:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Completed articles advantageous
Progress toward a professional qualification beneficial
