POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong finance professional who enjoys working across multiple areas of accounting and finance while ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial controls.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting audit processes, preparing financial reports, managing reconciliations, and contributing to the effective operation of the broader finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the full finance function.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
Assist with financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education

BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.

Experience

2-3 years' post-articles experience.
Essential audit exposure.
Experience operating within a full finance function environment.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Skills and Competencies

Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Sage Evolution experience advantageous.
Strong financial reporting capabilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
