POSITION INFO:
A wellâestablished organization within the logistics and distribution sector, based in Johannesburg East, is seeking a driven and detailâoriented Accountant to join its finance team. This role is focused on operational finance support, offering exposure to cost analysis, route profitability, and performanceâdriven reporting in a fastâpaced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who has completed SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA articles and is looking to gain meaningful exposure in a dynamic, operational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with financial management and reporting of route profitability and cost analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for logistics operations
Monitor and analyze transport and distribution costs per route
Prepare monthly management accounts and operational financial reports
Reconcile operational and financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity
Collaborate with operations teams to improve efficiency and cost control
Assist with monthâend and yearâend reporting processes
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Completed SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA articles
BCom Accounting / Financial Accounting or equivalent qualification
1–2 years’ postâarticles experience advantageous
Strong analytical and numerical ability
Advanced Excel skills (essential)
High attention to detail and strong problemâsolving skills
Ability to thrive in a fastâpaced, operational environment
