Accountant

POSITION INFO:

Preparation of accurate monthly trial balances and management accounts
Performance of variance analysis with clear, actionable management commentary
Compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and reporting deadlines
Timely submission of completed trial balances and supporting schedules to the Financial Manager
Coordination, review, and offer technical support to the finance team
Development of finance staff through mentoring, coaching, and process improvement
Oversight of reception and customer service functions, including timely handling of Sales Return Orders
Support of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business decision‑making through financial analysis
Management of cash flow forecasting, working capital, and payment preparation within delegation limits
Responsibility for tax compliance, statutory returns, and audit preparation and resolution
Support the development, maintenance, and enforcement of financial policies and procedures
Assist with internal control design and process documentation
Ensure adherence to approved authority limits and governance standards
 
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 to 5years of experience
Completed post articles commerce with experience in a manufacturing industry is advantageous
Proven track record of implementing and improving systems of internal control and financial accounting

Qualification:
BCom Accounting or equivalent
Professional registration - PA(SA) with SAIPA, CIMA, AGA or similar
