SUMMARY:

A well-established organization within the healthcare and services sector is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant to join their finance team.

POSITION INFO:

This role is suited to a commercially minded professional who enjoys taking ownership of the full accounting function while leading a small team. If you are comfortable operating across reporting, controls and day-to-day finance operations, and have proven people management experience, this opportunity offers both stability and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full accounting function up to management accounts
Oversee monthly reporting and ensure accuracy of financial data
Review and manage general ledger, journals and reconciliations
Supervise and support the bookkeeper, debtors and creditors functions
Ensure effective control over accounts payable and receivable
Manage month-end processes and reporting deadlines
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
Support audits and liaise with external stakeholders
Assist with budgeting and financial planning processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree in Accounting / Finance (essential)
Minimum 5 years’ commercial accounting experience
Proven management experience (must have managed bookkeeper, debtors and creditors)
Strong understanding of full accounting function
Experience in a services, healthcare or similar environment advantageous
Strong Excel skills and ERP system exposure
High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
Confident communicator with leadership capability
