POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
An established organisation based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join its dynamic Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with external and internal audits
Handle company-related tax (VAT, income tax, and customs)
Manage treasury and forex operations, including FX rate updates and FECs
Prepare financial forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad-hoc financial reports
Review departmental expenses and investigate variances
Maintain compliance with IFRS for SMEs and corporate governance standards
Oversee provisions, accruals, and journal processing
Compile and submit VAT returns and Stat SA reports
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers and foreign creditors

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Bcom in Finance
Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles.
1–2 years of post-article experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced) and Word (intermediate)
