Working closely with an exceptional Financial Manager, you’ll oversee key accounting activities and become a trusted finance partner to the wider business.

POSITION INFO:

As the Accountant, your duties include the following:
Oversee the VAT processing, ensuring compliance with SARS requirements and timely VAT201 submissions
Reconcile PAYE, UIF and SDL monthly
Prepare EMP201 submissions, and allocate tax payments to the correct amounts
Maintain company secretarial files and update group registers following any structural or statutory changes
Manage daily cash flow by monitoring current accounts, ensuring sufficient funds for payments
Assist with budget compilation and monitoring
Provide variance commentary and preparing draft management accounts
Compile and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
Authorize new suppliers and verify payment batches for accuracy
Oversee the creditors’ function
Perform first-level payment authorizations and coordinate with management for second approval
Support payroll processing by reviewing timesheets and reports
Prepare customer invoices, manage billing cycles, and follow up on outstanding debtors to maintain optimal cash flow
Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register

Skills & Experience:
5 years of accounting experience
Proficiency on Xero
Go-getter, self-starter, confident individual

Qualification:
BCom Accounting degree
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
