SUMMARY:
Are you a well-rounded accounting professional with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of bookkeeping, stock processes, and supplier compliance?

POSITION INFO:
My client is looking for an experienced Accountant to take ownership of key finance functions and ensure smooth financial operations across the business.

This role is based between two locations: Germiston and Edenvale, Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform full bookkeeping to trial balance, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Oversee regular stock takes, prepare supporting documentation, and compile post-count reports
Conduct stock audits and address discrepancies
Ensure supplier documentation and processes are compliant, including GRVs, credit notes, and related workflows
Manage accounts payable: process invoices and credit notes, reconcile supplier statements, and coordinate payment requests
Evaluate and monitor finance-related policies and procedures to support continuous improvement
Act as the liaison between HR, Payroll, and Finance to ensure alignment and efficient communication

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3 years proven experience in a similar accounting role
Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and supplier processes
Experience with stock control and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
