Our client is an independent UK CRM consultancy that helps B2B organisations choose, implement, improve, optimise and support their CRM systems.

The business works across people, processes and technology to improve CRM adoption, data quality, sales and marketing processes, reporting and leadership decision-making. It helps organisations turn cleaner, better-structured CRM data into reliable insights and more effective business decisions.

This is not simply a software sales environment. The business helps clients solve commercial problems relating to CRM, sales processes, marketing, data, reporting and decision-making.

THE ROLE: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The Account Executive will join the commercial team and help grow the business across the UK SME market, typically targeting organisations with 10–200 employees.

The initial focus will be outbound prospecting, appointment setting and pipeline generation, using cold calling, LinkedIn, email and direct-mail campaigns. There is an opportunity to progress into full sales-cycle ownership as product knowledge, confidence and results develop.

The role involves engaging business owners and decision-makers, uncovering business problems, creating interest and converting cold prospects into qualified opportunities and paying customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive new business opportunities through outbound calling, multi-channel follow-ups and targeted email and direct-mail campaigns.
• Research UK SMEs to identify, map and engage senior decision-makers via phone and LinkedIn.
• Qualify leads thoroughly based on business need, authority, timing and potential while maintaining precise CRM records.
• Uncover prospect pain points across CRM, sales, marketing, data and reporting systems to articulate the value proposition.
• Navigate common objections, generate curiosity and book high-quality, pre-qualified appointments for the sales team.
• Track and optimise appointment-to-opportunity conversion rates.
• Conduct discovery conversations to evaluate client system inefficiencies and commercial requirements.
• Deliver presentations and demos.
• Build tailored commercial proposals and negotiate terms.
• Manage opportunities through the full CRM pipeline.
• Close new business and ensure a seamless handover to customer onboarding.

ABOUT YOU

• Proven experience in B2B outbound sales.
• Demonstrable cold-calling experience.
• Experience selling to businesses rather than purely consumer sales.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong prospecting and appointment-setting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable speaking with business owners, directors and senior decision-makers.
• Strong objection-handling skills.
• Good CRM discipline.
• Ability to work towards demanding daily, weekly and monthly KPIs.
• A SaaS, software, technology or technology-enabled services background would be highly advantageous.
• Previous experience selling SaaS solutions, CRM platforms, business software, technology solutions, cloud-based products, B2B subscriptions, digital solutions or business services would be advantageous.
• Experience selling CRM, sales technology, marketing technology, business intelligence or automation solutions would be a significant advantage.
