Location: N4 Gateway Industrial Park, Pretoria
Salary: R35 000 – R45 000

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven PLC & robot programming experience (automotive sector ideal)
- Experience with KUKA robots (advantageous)
- Siemens & Beckhoff PLC experience
- Strong automation troubleshooting & commissioning skills
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate technical teams
- Strong understanding of control architectures, I/O lists & network layouts
- Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree/National Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation
- OR Trade Certificate (Electrical / Millwright / Mechatronic)
- Computer literacy: Windows, Outlook, Excel, MS Project
- AutoCAD experience is advantageous

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan & coordinate automation projects from start to commissioning
- Define scope, milestones, resources & timelines
- Track progress, budgets & risks
- Lead PLC programming (Siemens / Beckhoff)
- Develop HMI & configure SCADA systems
- Program, calibrate & integrate robots (KUKA / ABB / FANUC / Yaskawa)
- Manage daily PLC & robot backups with correct naming & secure storage
- Troubleshoot software, robotics, communication & instrumentation issues
- Collaborate with engineering on updates, reworks & program changes
- Conduct FAT, SAT, commissioning, optimisation & final handover

This position requires a strong technical leader who can guide teams, manage complex automation projects, and ensure seamless delivery from development to commissioning. You’ll work closely with clients, engineers, and installation teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and on-time project execution.
