We are seeking a highly experienced and professional Yacht Captain to take full command of a private 38m motor yacht. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe navigation, operation, and overall management of the vessel, ensuring the highest standards of safety, seamanship, and guest service. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires exceptional technical knowledge, crew management skills, and the ability to deliver an outstanding yachting experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Command and oversee the safe navigation, operation, and maintenance of the 38m yacht at all times.

• Manage all aspects of yacht administration, including budgeting, provisioning, voyage planning, and compliance with maritime regulations.

• Lead, motivate, and manage the crew to ensure professional service and smooth onboard operations.

• Maintain strong communication with owners, guests, and management companies to meet expectations.

• Oversee the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of the yacht, coordinating with engineers and shipyards when necessary.

• Ensure all safety drills, inspections, and training are conducted in accordance with international maritime laws.

• Plan itineraries and provide detailed briefings on destinations, weather conditions, and voyage logistics.

• Monitor fuel, water, and consumable supplies to ensure operational readiness.

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding the highest levels of privacy and discretion.

Qualifications

• Valid Master 500GT or higher (MCA) certification.

• STCW 95/10 (fully updated) and ENG1 medical certificate.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Captain on yachts between 30m – 45m.

• Proven track record in private and/or charter operations.

• Excellent navigational, technical, and seamanship skills.

• Sound knowledge of ISM/ISPS codes and international maritime regulations.
