Workshop Team Leader

SUMMARY:
Ensure that best management practices are followed in all areas of responsibility regarding the Workshop departments and all products that fall within the company''s product offering, operations procedures and actions.

POSITION INFO:

Engineering or Technical Qualification is essential. Minimum 5 yrs experience in a management or team leader position in the Material handling industry essential. Manage the workshop department personnel. This will include doing performance appraisals, payroll administration, department meetings and driving the ISO/ASEC standards. Maintenance management, work scheduling, quality of work and quote accuracy. Ensure OHSACT/ISO requirements are met.

Drive customer service excellence. Development and implementation of operational innovation. Maintain and promote good housekeeping best practices in the Workshop.  Timeously submit daily time sheets and job cards after job completion, report on all outstanding work in progress and labour recoveries against set targets weekly.

Work together with the workshop administrator to ensure quotations are compiled within 24hours, and all supplier daily invoices are managed and processed in accordance with company policy. Manage and reduce any excess overtime
