POSITION INFO:
Purpose
Plan and organize quoted internal and external work order tasks. Monitor progress and implement action plans to improve turnaround time and quality of workmanship in accordance with company set standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Entrance Certificate: Grade 12 - Essential
Relevant trade - Essential
Planning OR Project management qualification - Recommended
Minimum Experience
Mining equipment or mining industry: 3 years
Minimum 2 years planning experience in a mechanical workshop environment.
Intermediate Excel knowledge and experience is essential

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:
Ensure that work orders are attended to effectively.
Ensure that all critical activities are ranked and prioritised accordingly.
Determine the logical sequence of all activities and identify the critical path.
Conduct the internal weekly task planning meetings with the site personnel.
Proactively manage clear lines of communication and relationships with the customers.
Prepare detailed planned routine packages; i.e. daily preps for planned tasks.
Plan, organize and control work and projects, while ensuring that they meet their corresponding technical / professional objectives.
Effectively coordinate the supplier and sub-contractors maintenance related documentation.
Responsible for work order capturing and control within set targets and according to prescribed standards i.e. work order cycle management.
Administer the task planning board and ensure visibility at all times.
Administer the task planning system, monitor, analyse and generate reports on maintenance performance for management decision making.
Analyse and screen breakdown work orders for accuracy and identify chronic issues for opportunities to perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) to prevent future failures and ensure quality work order feedback information.
Coordinate root cause analysis (RCA) and applicable modern tools to solve a problem.
Identify and report all warranty related incidents to the Product support department.
Keep an updated register for the repair progress.
Coordinate the product improvement process; i.e. new service bulletins, and generate the corresponding work orders on new equipment prior to delivery.
Manage and analyse key performance indicator accuracy – task time analysis
Prepare and compile periodic reports and presentation (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually) to ensure that internal leadership and customers have up to date information for decision making.
Develop and keep a register for all planned deviation and non-conformance as well as their subsequent action plans.
Proactively manage the backlog management process.
Create, track and follow up on unresolved issues.
Maintain and manage a document flow, follow up and feedback process/system.
Updating and manage the filing processes.
Ensure customer relationship management.
 

Driving Licenses
Code B; Motor vehicle license
System Skills
Microsoft Office
PowerPoint knowledge and experience are essential
MS Projects is advantageous
