POSITION INFO:

Workshop Manager (HVAC) - Bellville - Market Related Salary

(Basic, Medical Aid, Provident)

The main purpose of the job is managing the day-to-day activities of the workshop.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Trade Tested (Sheet Metal Worker is preferred)

Experience & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ management or supervisory experience in an HVAC manufacturing environment
• or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand HVAC manufacturing drawings and schedules
• Knowledge of Labor legislation and MEIBC would be advantageous.

Key Performances:

• Daily management of the workshop, staff and its operations.
• Manage scheduled, time, quality and costs (production).
• Manage spare parts sales.
• Equipment condition monitoring and maintenance.
• Manage the manufacturing procurement process and ensure that it is done in line with the SOP.
• Implement and maintain relevant sections of the OHS Act.
• Ensure that fair labor relations practices are followed in line with the MEIBC Main Agreement, LRA,
• company disciplinary and grievance policies.
• Monitor daily production process and allocate material and labor costs to individual contracts.
• Work within budget parameters and control expenditure for individual contracts.
• Create and submit monthly reports.
• SHEQ management within the workshop environment
• Employee Development.
