SUMMARY:
Our client, a large vehicle servicing and repairs concern in Pretoria is looking to appoint the following position:

Workshop Manager

To start as soon as possible

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties and Expectations:

Greeting customers and directing vehicles to an available technician.
Meet or exceed weekly/monthly targets set by the owner.
Consult with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives that can be offered in place of expensive repairs.
Answering customer questions about service outcomes and consulting with technicians when necessary.
Informing customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections.
Assisting customers with quotations and bookings.
Overseeing and managing the service center’s scheduling and workflow.
Informing customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be collected.
Manage mechanics, fitters, and cleaners
Control and monitor the productivity of workshop technicians.
Ensure that parts arrive on time.
Ensure that the technicians comply with their Check Lists.
Ensure that all staff completes their daily Productivity Report.
Ensure that all work is carried out safely.

Minimum Requirements:

Mechanical and Technical background
Workshop Management Experience of about 3 to 4 years.
Own reliable vehicle
Customer Orientated
