Our client within the Hospitality sector, based in Paterson, seeks to employ a Workshop Manager to join their Maintenance team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
  • Repair, maintain, service and trouble shoot diesel and petrol engines.
  • Daily supervision of daily tasks performed in the workshop.
  • Report to maintenance manager on a daily basis on tasks completed in workshop.
  • Order and maintain stock levels to allow smooth running of services and repairs.
  • Allow for preventative maintenance by checking with workshop assistants and weekly check list.
  • Constantly maintain company assets and fleet of vehicles.
  • Follow service and cleaning schedules.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate tasks effectively.
Requirements:
  • Diesel mechanic diploma with a min of 3-5 years’ experience
  • Min of 3-5 year experience as a team leader/supervisor/manager
  • Very good mechanical knowledge of diesel & petrol engines
  • Knowledge of 2–stroke engines an advantage
  • Driver’s license essential
  • Good computer skills required - Sage Pastel Evolution an advantage
  • Leadership, communication and delegation skills essential
