JOB DESCRIPTION:

Well established engineering company based on the East Rand is looking for a Boring mill Workshop Manager

Requirements:

Matric
Trade Qualification
5-8 years’ experience in the engineering field, in a similar role
Management experience
Knowledge of Auto Cad
Use a logical and methodical approach to work
Analytical/problem solving ability
Observant and good at paying attention to detail
Computer literate to analyse, store and display results

Duties:

Take charge of workshop operations and resources for a business
Ensure the smooth running of the engineering workshop
Manage team of 13 staff members which consists of Machinists, Apprentices and General Workers
Assist, guide and teach where possible
General HR duties with regards to time and attendance
Assist with the recruitment of staff
Ensure product quality
Assigning tasks to workers
Coordinating resources
Ordering supplies
Managing invoices
Advising on key projects
