SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading Logistics company, is seeking a Workshop Manager with Mercedes Benz truck experience. The candidate will join their Head Office team just outside of Northern Durban.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric, with Maths as a subject.
- Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic.
- Clear Criminal record.
- Medically fit.
- Valid Code 14 licence.
- 10 years’ experience in heavy commercial vehicles Workshop Management.
- 3 years’ experience in a commercial vehicle workshop at Management level.
- Knowledge of workshop Financial Management processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance of a large fleet of vehicles, including trucks and fuel tankers.
- Provide an efficient, effective, and high quality of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Ensure compliance to Legal Requirements, Company and Oil company standards to maintain operational excellence.
- Lead and manage the productivity and efficiency of all workshop activities.
- Minimise vehicle downtime with punctual service and repair scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage workshop budgets.
- Ensure effective and efficient management of administration processes and procedures.
- Keeping accurate workshop reports.
Additional Information:
After the successful completion of a 3-month probation period, the successful candidate will qualify for a company-provided Medical Aid, as well as a 15% Pension Fund contribution.
