SUMMARY:
We are currently looking for a Workshop foreman to supervise the daily operations and ensure all required work that comes in is completed when required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job responsibilities:

Make sure staff are on time every day – take action if not adhered to
Make sure technicians are ready for work
Liaise with service advisors on bookings as well as any customer complaints or enquiries
Plan daily workshop flow- Technicians must know what their jobs are for the day and at what time work must be completed.
Ensure all jobcards are signed off by the technician and foreman when every job is completed. The foreman will be the responsible person for quality of the repair.
Ensure all safety rules are adhered to in the workshop.
Each jobcard has to have following before given in for costing, clocking, parts invoice, service schedule, work carried out.
Follow up on parts with parts store – be aware of timelines
Make sure the workshop, washbay, offices and equipment is clean and tidy at all times
Assist service advisor with customer queries
Make sure quotes are quoted correctly
Make sure tools and equipment are used correctly and any broken is reported so it can be repaired.
Take disciplinary action when required
Make sure all technicians work stations are kept neat and tidy

Job requirements

Must be qualified
Previous motor mechanic experience
Experience in managing a workshop

Working hours: 07h00 - 17h00
