SUMMARY:
Well established Company in the Construction / Engineering Sector is urgently looking for a Workshop Assistant with a valid Forklift License to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY

Qualifications

Matric / Grade 12
Valid Forklift license,
Basic mechanical knowledge and prior workshop experience.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office or workshop management systems)

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Support
Previous experience in a workshop, construction, or engineering environment
Assist Workshop Manager with day‑to‑day tasks.
Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
Help with setting up tools, machinery, and equipment.
Material & Equipment Handling
Load, move, and dispatch materials and equipment to work sites.
Oversee stock control and assist with deliveries and collections.
Use workshop software or records to track issued and received parts.
Maintenance Assistance
Support routine maintenance of tools and machinery.
Report faults or damages promptly to Workshop Manager.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) where applicable

Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, and processes.
Ability to manage materials and keep accurate records.
Clear verbal and written communication in English
Exposure to material handling, stock control, or assisting tradespeople is an advantage
