JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

 

The purpose of this post is to manage all aspects of Work Orders within ISSO, mainly Technical Services. To plan and facilitate Work Order implementation with intent to ensure that all facilities are safe for use. Contribute to improvement of effective infrastructure delivery, plant reliability, overall equipment effectiveness, all infrastructure integrity, sustainable cost of maintenance and efficiency.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

 

  • Manage the administrative functions around Work Orders.
  • Manage communication relating to breakdowns and emergencies via telephone and two-way radio.
  • Co-ordinate maintenance staff via communication channels – email, radio, phone, text.
  • Monitor and manage Johnson Building Management System.
  • Facilitate activities incorporating Planned Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance.
  • Co-ordinate work order planning for the Division.
  • Technical data analysis and reporting on artisan performance.        
  • Provide relevant management and supervisory information and reports pertaining to all work order activities in the Division.

 

 

 

CORE COMPETENCIES

 

 

  • Good knowledge of Large Estate of Buildings and Services infrastructure.
  • An excellent understanding of work performed by each Technical Artisan Trade.
  • Good knowledge of Work order systems.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft programs – Outlook, Word, and Excel and knowledge in IWMS would be an advantage.
    • Ability to Multitask and work under pressure.
    • Strong leadership, verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent communication skills. Able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills and make sound decisions based on available information.
      • Initiative and self-starting abilities; willing to take action to resolve problems.
      • Demonstrate planning, organizational and project-management skills with ability to work independently.

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

 

To be considered for appointment to this post, candidates preferably should possess M + 3 Relevant Built Environment Qualification. A valid Code EB (08) driver’s license.
