SUMMARY:
Riverhorse. Dynamic business within Marketing and Procurement, and operating on an international scale, seeks experienced WordPress Developer to take responsibility for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.
POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems.
Actively design and implement new features and functionality, establish and guide the website’s architecture, ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
Help formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme and plugin. Meet with clients to discuss website design and function. Design and build the website front-end as well as design and manage the website back-end including database and server integration.
Generate WordPress themes and plugins, conduct website performance tests, troubleshoot content issues, conduct WordPress training with clients, monitor the performance of live websites, and maintain the current web applications that the company uses internally.
Requirements:
- Qualification in any IT Development focused field
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design is preferred
- An understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred
- E-commerce and multisite experience
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
- Knowledge of code versioning tools (Git)
- Familiarity with front end Javascript framework, preferably Angular
- Familiar with Node.JS
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
- Ability to project manage
- Good communication skills
