The role of the Welding/Boilermaker Assessor is to deliver, assess and where necessary offer support to learners engaged in Automotive Repair Welding course that has an NQF Level 3 Certification, in accordance with the MERSeta guidelines. The role includes the delivery and assessment of welding material and ensuring compliance with all associated practices and standards.

Qualifications:

• Welding Technical Qualification OR a Boilermaker Technical Qualification
• Accredited Assessor with the MERSeta
• Accredited Facilitator with ETDP

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in facilitation and assessing
• 3+ years’ technical experience as a Professional Welder/Boilermaker
• High proficiency in demonstrating and assessing MAG Welding, MIG Brazing and Spot Welding of thin materials (1mm – 2mm thickness)
• Have technical understanding OR practical experience in panel beating
• Ability to demonstrate practical use of machinery, troubleshoot and problem solve where machinery may be faulty
• Comprehensive understanding of ALL MerSeta requirements as an Accredited Assessor (not negotiable)

• Able to speak both English and Afrikaans
• MS Office
• Able to travel within in the Gauteng province
