JOB SUMMARY – Purpose of the job/position
We are looking for a Web Designer who will be responsible for creating great experiences for our customers on our website.
Primary duties include conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas for our website, as well as creating visual elements that are in line with our branding. You will be working closely with our web development team to ensure a proper and hassle-free implementation.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent visual design skills and be proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Management of partners’ branding – Align Content with Partner contract
- Uploading of New Businesses, New Vouchers to our Internal System which links to our website
- Uploading of all Business and Voucher Amendment to our Internal System which links to our website
- Developing, uploading and editing videos as required
- Content Creation for our website and learning management system
- The website needs to be accurate and meet all required specifications
- Images must be relevant to the Customer
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Conceptualizing creative ideas for customers
- Testing and improving the design of the website
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices
- Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards
- Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with our branding standards
- Working with different content management systems
- Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps and wireframes
- Incorporating functionalities and features into websites
- Designing sample pages including colours and fonts
- Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure
- Load new businesses and vouchers on our internal system
- Managing the business partners’ images and descriptors
- Liaising with partner zone consultants to obtain marketing material from business partners
- Resizing and redesigning of logos to comply with the website specifications
- Checking that correct information has been received from businesses
- Keep latest deals active on Goldfish leading to the company website
- Managing the partner WhatsApp communication channel
- Maintaining good relationships with business partners
- Creation of video content for internal and customer training purposes
- Reviewing “Join Requests” daily and sending them to the sales department
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- A relevant diploma in related field
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in similar role
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, and other visual design tools
- Proficiency Adobe Illustrator is advantageous
- Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript
- Computer Literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good understanding of content management systems
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility and integration
- Excellent visual design skills
- Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to interact with staff on all levels
- Excellent customer service skills not negotiable
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at once
- Time management Skills
