Water Resource Engineer

SUMMARY:
Support and contribute to surface water resource projects including stormwater management, hydrology studies, river design and water management plans for one of the biggest consulting companies in South Africa’s mining sector.

POSITION INFO:

Develop water and salt balances for mining and industrial clients

Give input on water components for EIA’s and mine waste management programs

Managing and making sure projects are completed in time and within budget

Manage Junior engineers with stormwater, hydrology and water salt balance projects

Full cycle project management and design technical reports for clients

Prepare macros on Microsoft Excel  or reporting to top management

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 3-6 years’ experience in similar role

Computer literate and fluent in the full Microsoft suite including MS Projects

Experience using of GoldSim, PCSWWM, CAD, Python (Advantageous)

Demonstrated history in water resources engineering

Minimum of 3-6 years’ experience in environmental engineering related to surface water (Essential)

Qualification:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering
