Warranty Control Officer

SUMMARY:
Benoni Based Client is seeking a Warranty Control officer to scrutinize, validate, finalise, submit and support all warranty and goodwill submissions ensuring maximum financial recovery for legitimate claims. Ideal person must come from the Commercial Vehicle Environment.

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE: 

-Grade 12
- Qualification as a mechanic desirable
- Technical Experience in the commercial vehicle environment of +/- 5 years
- Thorough understanding of Warranty terms and conditions, Warranty Claims Handling Processes and nuances, and ERP Systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

• Vehicle & Parts Warranty and Goodwill Claims:
• On receipt of warranty claim from dealers and workshops, perform document validation and physical assessments of the parts  where necessary, to determine the cause of the reported problem and the validity of the claim, concluding whether to accept, reject or request further information.
• Ensure that all necessary information with supporting documentation is collated and submitted via an ERP system
• When required, obtain the required authorisations from the Warranty Assessor/ Claims Assessment Manager for amounts in excess of the prescribed amount/s. Submit and conclude goodwill requests.
• Report all claims re-imbursed to the financial controller, workshops or dealers.
• Report all claim rejections to workshops/dealers and query with Warranty Department where necessary.
• Coordinate shipping and package warranty parts as requested.
• Warranty Registrations, warranty payments and warranty training
