SUMMARY:
Warehouse Supervisor (Elandsfontein, Johannesburg)
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
vReceive all incoming stocks and materials into the Warehouse.
vCheck stocks against the delivery notes.
vOnce stock is picked and taken to the packing area, ensure stock is packed according to the invoice and put on the tables allocated, for loading the vehicles the next day.
vProcess stock as per customer request and ensure all is in order for delivery.
vFollow up on any queries relating to picking slips and collecting of orders.
vTrack inventory levels and ensure replenishment.
vReport any irregularities or problems to the Warehouse Manager
vHandle all materials in accordance with Health & Safety Standards.
vParticipate in stock cycle counts and stock-taking in accordance with SOPs.
vEnsure that staff comply with health, Safety And Standard Operating Procedures.
vResponsible for housekeeping standards and improvement within the dispatch area.
vDeliver efficiencies to support year on year operational budget reduction.
vIn conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, implement warehouse and management systems and working practices in line with best practice and continuous improvement.
vMonitor and review operational methods to facilitate both qualitative and quantitative improvements within the operation whilst ensuring continuous customer service.
vOccasional control of fork lift to ensure full operational capacity & achieve daily targets.
vOversee any planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
vEnsure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
vMonitor stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with warehouse management system and ensure stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
vMaintain the management of supplier return packaging.
vRecord and communicate all shortage issues to the relevant department.
vMonitor stock levels in order to highlight minimum and excess levels and therefore prevent part shortages.
vResponsible for driving Standard Work and ensuring quality processes are implemented to ensure a "Right First Time" product to the customer aligned with their expectation.
vSupervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage
vEnsure that facility equipment is properly maintained
vTrain, guide and evaluate new warehouse employees

Requirements:
vMatric is essential.
vA Diploma in Logistics Management or equivalent will be advantageous.
vMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
vProven experience in Warehouse planning, Stock Control, Dispatching and Receiving.
vSound knowledge of Health and Safety practices and principles.
vGreat leadership skills.

vGreat interpersonal and customer relations skills.
vGreat problem-solving and time management skills.
vWilingness to work in a highly pressurised environment.
