Purpose of the Role:

Ensure that orders are picked and packed accurately so that customers are served promptly and inventory accuracy is 100%; Adhere to all SOP’s, company policies Good Warehousing Practices and Environment Health & Safety requirements
Provide support to other teams in the operation

Requirements:

Matric and 1 year Warehouse and stock control experience
Good with math’s
Computer literate basic Microsoft, Excel and Word

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Accountabilities

Ensure that orders are picked and packed accurately so that customers are served promptly and inventory accuracy is 100%
Adhere to all SOP’s, company policies Good Warehousing Practices and Environment Health & Safety requirements.
Provide support to other teams in the operation
It is sometimes necessary to work additional hours and assist with tasks outside of the activities mentioned above.
Each member of the warehouse is therefore, expected to assist wherever possible with whatever task is required of him or her.
The interaction and support within the team remains critical to the operation and team success

Standard Expectations:

Strictly adhere to timekeeping requirements
Pick, assemble and stage orders as required by Sales, Delivery, Have Ready and Courier expectations
Ensure speedy and accurate picking of orders that ensures effective stock accuracy.
Double check orders awaiting dispatch or collection
Promptly attend to calling customers’ orders and assisting them with loading of vehicles as required
rioritise picking as detailed in the SOP’s. Giving immediate priority to collecting customers.
Assist warehouse Team Lead with stock take effort

Adopt a zero acceptance of errors and know to impact an error has on safety, quality, cost and service.

Move waste and broken material to waste area

Off load import containers speedily and packing pallets per the relevant SOP
Ensure daily housekeeping of racking as allocated on the physical rack in accordance with Good Warehousing Practices (GWP).
Ensure pick face has stock, if not arrange for replenishment.
Ensure accurate completion, recording and admin of picking documents are done daily.
Continuously read up and ensure excellent knowledge of all applicable procedures and policies
Pack finished product for stock/shipping i.e. shrink wrap, heat seal, labelling boxing per SOP.
Switch off equipment not in use – and park equipment in designated areas.
Inventory is to be picked, packed and managed according Good Warehousing Practices (GWP).

Discontinued and damaged inventory is to be removed from the shelf and given to the Warehouse Team Lead

Key Measures:

Perform all procedures strictly according to the relevant SOP’s.
Obey all company policies and procedures
Pick orders accurately and speedily and complete activity sheet daily
Request replenishment of pick face
Sales and Warehouse Team Lead to be informed of any stock shortages immediately they become evident
Participate in daily stock takes – these may also take place over weekends
Ensure that the invoice quantity balances with the order before taking the order to dispatch for delivery or collection.
Ensure that all training provided by the company is undertaken before the due date for training is reached.
