JOB DESCRIPTION:

Kempton Park

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full Warehouse Management Function

• Internal fleet management

• Track and manage inventory

• Manage Maintenance of Warehouse and surrounds

• Manage Warehouse administration

• Manage employees within the scope of the warehouse department

• Management stock in-flows and out-flows

• Manage the despatch of local and national orders

• Manage priority deliveries and co-ordinate deliveries with internal sales

• Manage co-ordination of external logistics companies

• Do monthly warehouse reports

• Do quarterly board reports

• Liaise between production, finance and sales

• Control and run Quarterly stock takes and cycle counts

• Participate in and support Health and Safety in the Company

• Inspect warehouse and keep the warehouse clean and safe

• Review and improve warehouse processes

• Coach and mentor employees

• Any other reasonable work-related instruction

• Evaluate performance metrics to ensure quality delivery and cost-efficient work-flow processes

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Matric with a Logistics/Supply Chain Management qualification a bonus

• A Minimum of 8 – 10 years’ experience within a warehousing environment

• Health and Safety Committee experience

• A high level of computer literacy, particularly all Microsoft Office packages

• Syspro experience (advantageous)

• Diligent, meticulous, trustworthy, hard worker with good communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• Willing to put in extra time when required
