Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY:
International Premium Pharmaceutical / FMCG Brand requires a Warehouse Manager to be based at their Midrand Operations We will require an all round hands-on candidate to contribute to the success of this business unit.

POSITION INFO:

JOB OBJECTIVE

• Responsible for the operational site management and logistics function in order to ensure sustainable sales growth and excellent customer service, within agreed service levels and agreed budget.           
• Ensure effective management of customer trading.
• Ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures by staff.
• Manage physical logistics of inventory distribution to and from the warehouse including distribution and exports to ensure that the distribution replenishment plan is met.
• Manage stock accuracy and availability through effective inventory control measures and ensure that these are adhered too.
• Implement and manage new distributions methods for continuous improvement and cost saving strategic initiatives.
• Provide strategic operational and logistics support in line with company objectives.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Warehousing and Distribution Management

• Manage all distribution department and ensure efficient and effective operations and customer excellence in line with business requirements.
• Ensure the logistics network fully complies with safety, health and legislative requirements and at all-time portrays a professional corporate image.
• Ensure safe custody and control of assets with accurate record keeping at the warehouse in line with auditing standards.
• Ensure inventory are effectively distributed to all locations in full and on time and fully integrate with all other functions in the team.

Inventory management:

• Manage inventory controls and procedures at all locations with zero tolerance for stock discrepancies at 99% accuracy at value.
• Effective management of all trading staff
• Continuous review and improvement to best practices and in line with company strategy.

Other:

• Ensure all internal controls are effective and adhered too.
• Constructively challenge status quo.
• Manage budgets and forecasts as agreed during for operational process.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports and business case studies as required.
• Drive continuous improvement across the supply chain to improve efficiencies and ensure cost reduction.
• Management of staff and resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• CLEAR CRIMINAL RECORD
• 3+ years’ experience in Depot/Warehouse Management
• 3+ years’ experience of resource planning with experience of working on WMS
• Extensive experience and knowledge in logistics management is essential
• Good leadership and team development qualities
• Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
• Focused and dedicated approach to achieving targets
• Excellent computer skills
• Motivated and highly organized individual
