Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY:
Minimum of five years experience in FMCG Warehousing

POSITION INFO:

Warehouse Manager | FMCG | Linbro Park, JHB (JB474)
Salary: R15 - 18 000 per month (Medical Aid and Provident)

Kontak Recruitment is currently sourcing a Warehouse Manager with five years experience in the FMCG space with a background in cold storage. Previous experience should include working within an unionised environment, managing blue-collar staff.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings and attend CCMA cases.
• Housekeeping
• Manage the team''s productivity and time management
• Prevent and manage shrinkage and damages
• Manage logistics in warehousing and expenses in the department e.g. overtime
• Manage the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Managing the Food safety Audit program
• Utilise the prescribed system (Great Plains) to draw reports
• Manage the budget for the section
• Manage staff and welfare of members
• Manage the branch warehouse function
• Manage stock control and inventory function including stocktake preparation
• Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an ongoing basis
• Leverage Great Plains reporting to control branch logistical functions
• Daily cycle counts

Minimum requirements

• Five year''s experience in a similar role
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Great Plains
• Minimum of two year''s experience managing staff
• Excellent understanding of the supply chain
• Technical knowledge of the day to day management of a frozen plant
• Adaptable to operational changes and overtime
• Valid drivers license
