Warehouse Administrator

POSITION INFO:

My Client in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry is looking for a young dynamic individual to join their team as an Warehouse Coordinator.

 

Main Purpose of the position:

The Warehouse Controller will provide solutions and support specific customers of the organization in all aspects of shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory, invoicing and logistics while remaining compliant with all security and safety standards and regulations.  This is an on-site role

 

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Handling specific customer account(s) and providing quality customer service support for the warehouse department
  • Maintaining customer relations and communicating with carriers and vendors to exceed customer service expectations
  • Responding to any customer questions concerning shipments and inventory
  • Anticipating customer expectations and proactively identifying solutions
  • Maintaining customer records and updating management system
  • Handling and completing necessary shipping documentation
  • Retrieving/picking materials from stock and packing shipments according to client specifications
  • Sending packed shipments for processing
  • Processing packaged shipments and loading them onto trucks
  • Receiving and examining goods shipped and organizing them in the warehouse according to client specifications
  • Maintaining inventory control by collecting stock location orders and printing requests
  • Coordinating shipments that enter and leave the warehouse for the specific client(s)
  • Verifying order completeness and accuracy
  • Adhering to safety standards set by company guidelines and the OHS Act
  • Following lean quality processes as per company operational standards
  • Remaining within company guidelines when addressing customer inquiries regarding shipments
  • Escalating uncommon, complex customer issues to the next level manager for resolution when necessary
  • Brainstorming possible solutions for customer issues with the team and department manager
  • Providing feedback on current practices and metrics to continuously streamline organizational processes
  • Client invoicing on ERP system
  • Handling of warehouse equipment if required
  • Performing related duties, as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric certificate
  • Minimum 3+ experience in warehouse environment
  • Minimum 1+ experience in a customer service role
  • Supply chain / Logistics diploma or Degree
