Our client in the manufacturing industry based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a Warehouse Coordinator.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with mathematics or equivalent
• Managerial/supervisory qualification and experience (5 years)
• Driver’s license compulsory
• Preferably product on hand experience
• Above average computer skills
• Ability to effectively monitor and direct a team, positive attitude
• Sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail
• Deadline driven
• Open minded and willingness to learn & adapt to changing systems
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent ability to multitask
• Excellent interpersonal skills – maintain good working relationships

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor warehousing performance and activities
• Staff management
• Responsible for daily warehousing reports and action required
• Knowledge and adherence to H&S/ HR procedures and regulations
• Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards
• Managing 30 people (including three team leaders) over three shift system (10 people per shift) – 24 hour operation, Monday to Friday
• Proficient in time and capacity studies
• Experience in Warehouse layouts
• Works hand in hand with production and movement of parts between areas
• Managing the inspection of parts received from production
• Liaise with outbound logistics supervisor on stock readiness for customers
• IR/ Health & Safety/ Housekeeping
• Reporting – scrap reports/hourly sheets etc, proficient in Word/Excel/Outlook
• Control of customer specific packaging
• Willing to work shifts from time to time
