JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in the Automotive Sector, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ an experienced Warehouse Controller.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification (ND, BTech or Degree) in Logistics, Inventory and Stores Management or Purchasing Management.
  • Certified computer training.
  • Previous experience in Managing Warehouse (5 years) with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
  • At least 5 years experience in Automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with exports.
  • Should have thorough knowledge of the entire plant processes.
  • Excellent attendance and Disciplinary record.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Computer literacy essential (MRP System 4th Shift, Excel, Word).
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and being assertive.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

 

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

  • Supervision of Warehouse and Warehouse personnel.
  • Managing and controlling all daily warehouse operations.
  • Ensure all daily sales are completed for local and export customers.
  • Monitoring and maintaining correct stock levels and FIFO Implement, monitor, and ensure all SOPs are being adhered to.
  • Maintaining and updating records of stock levels.
  • Ensure all export documentation are done in accordance with Incoterms stack dates.
  • Minimize expenses in area of responsibility including but not limited to scheduling of staff.
  • Ensuring stock control on site and off-site warehouse.
  • Stock take.
  • Liaising with customer materials management personnel.
  • Ensuring stock accuracy of shipments to customers.
  • Maintain a high level of HSE and Quality consciousness.
  • Play an active role in driving departmental project milestones.
