Required Skills/Abilities: Warehouse & dispatch supervisor

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with data entry and inventory systems.
• 30 – 40 years of age, fit and energetic (there is a lot of physical work involved, stairs, hysters, containers)

Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a dispatch environment
• Ability to multitask.
• Basic computer skills.
• Outstanding customer service experience.
• Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, and time management skills.
• Previous experience as a warehouse / dispatch supervisor or a similar supervisory position.
• Forklift licence and experience beneficial

Responsibilities:

• General management of all daily dispatch and warehouse procedures  
• Logging and tracking documentation in relation to all deliveries / receivables
• The safe loading/ offloading of stock and staging of stock in warehouse
• Scheduling couriers for nationwide shipment deliveries / collections
• Efficiently scheduling drivers for deliveries / collections
• Communicate with sales teams on dispatched / received freight details, delivery times, and special handling requests.
• Maintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as deliveries and collections
• Housekeeping and Inhouse building maintenance handling
• Schedule necessary delivery vehicle maintenance / vehicles inspections
• File courier freight claims as needed
• Communicating and coordinating deliveries with other departments and customers.
