WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR

SUMMARY:
A WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR is required by a well established Tool & Machinery company in PINETOWN (KZN)

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• To manage / supervise technical team daily duties 
• To be accountable for related Admin & Documentation
• Maintain a Job Card
• Ensure that repairs received complies with the Company Returns and Claims policy
• Assessment and repairs to be conducted, within the required lead times.
• Dissembling and assembling of worn parts, electronic and hand tools
• Administration and control of all documents related to repairs, i.e. Invoicing; GRN and waybills
• Ensure economic feasibility of repair.
• To provide telephonic or on-site technical support on all products, either directly with the customer or when asked to do so by customer services department
• To adhere to all company rules, regulations and conditions of work –OHSA/CPA
• To produce technical reports on any product as required by management
• Support Management in the task of ensuring the most profitable and effective running of the repair process
• To conduct (PDI) pre-delivery inspection on machines

Requirements:

•  Minimum of 5-years’ experience in a workshop environment
• He must be able to deliver high level, quality service, in order to ensure customer satisfaction
• Must have comprehensive technical knowledge of repairing general tools, machines and generators, by identifying mechanical issues
• Essential diagnostic and problem-solving skills,
• Good communication ability both verbally and in writing (English).
