WAREHOUSE MANAGER / STOCK CONTROLLER – GERMISTON

 Qualifications:

• Grade 12/equivalent
• A completed Logistics / Supply Chain Management qualification will be advantageous

 Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience within a warehousing environment with references
• A high level of computer literacy with working knowledge of inventory management software
• Experience in inventory audits, stock / cycle counts
• Code 10 with PDP driver’s license would be advantageous and counterbalance forklift license
• Have a stable work record with contactable references
• Be physical fit and able to work on your feet
• Reside close to Germiston
• Be of sober habits

Duties and responsibilities:

• Able to perform in a fast-paced customer services orientated environment.
• Excellent organization skills with good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Full Warehouse Management Function including administration duties.
• Stock control - Overseeing receiving, dispatching, and warehousing of stock.
• Control and run Bi-annual stock takes and cycle counts, keeping updated inventory records.       
• Implementing, reviewing, and improving operational policies and procedures.
• Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment and safety of staff.
• Maintain good housekeeping and disciplines in the warehouse.
• Motivating and disciplining staff
• Internal fleet management
• The purpose of this role is to direct receive, warehousing and distribution operations
• Overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly to guarantee high levels of customer service.
