SUMMARY:
Voice Network Engineer
POSITION INFO:
The job functions involve managing the voice infrastructure. The role requires hands-on experience in managing voice and network services. The candidate will be required to take responsibility for the configuration and availability of the full production voice infrastructure stack. Uses the 3CX hosted platform so knowledge of this product is essential.
Transition from traditional PBX platforms to the latest unified communications and collaboration platforms.
Optimize, design (low-level), implement and maintain the voice network infrastructure.
In-Depth Knowledge of 3CX Platform
Create and maintain detailed design diagrams and technical documentation of enterprise voice networks
Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, MPLS and general network theory required
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
Provide timely and accurate status updates to customer contacts and management
Provide guidance/mentor more junior members of the team on VOIP technology
Partner and work with 3rd party teams and vendors
Experience / Skills Required
Voice / Telephony Network Infrastructure
Experience in traditional and hosted PBX Systems especially 3CX
Unified Communications and Collaboration (MS Teams beneficial)
Low-Level Voice Network Infrastructure Design
Understanding of Data Networks and Network Security
Previous experience working as a VoIP Network Engineer.
In-depth knowledge of VoIP systems and IP Protocols.
Detailed knowledge of network security systems and software.
Good project management skills.
Familiarity with WAN and LAN systems.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Product Knowledge
Huawei, Mikrotik, 3CX, Cisco, Polycom
Experience Requirement
A minimum of 3 + years’ experience in designing, deploying, installing, configuring, troubleshooting complex solutions and Traditional PBX systems or Hosted IP Telephony Systems
Educational Qualifications
IT Diploma or Degree or related field or equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education
Network and Voice related Certifications
