Utilities Administrator (Property Management)

Requirements
Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent
Any Certificate / Diploma will be advantageous
2-3 Years’ utilities administration experience
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of municipal tariff structures and bylaws
Duties
Track and obtain monthly municipal statements from Municipality;
Track and print meter reading reports (MTA’S);
Liaise with meter reading companies whenever necessary to ensure:
Timeous receipt of reports
Resolution of all queries prior to processing;
Capture meter readings into utility calculator sheets;
Populate utility input sheets as follows:
Municipality section: municipal charges and receipts as per municipal invoice/statement
Memorandum MDA section – as per utilities calculator
Reconcile municipal statement to MDA memorandum;
Capture monthly charges into MDA, as per MDA memorandum, based on the laid down company procedures;
Submit expense batches for approval;
Prepare remittance advices and submit them, together with all supporting documents i.e. supplier statement, input form (incorporating reconciliation) and supplier age analysis, for approval.
Routine checking of utility statements and meter reading reports:
Check utility accounts for inter alia
Review the meter reading reports and investigate any significant changes in consumption. Confirm that meter numbers read are as actually on the ground.
Logging, recording and resolution of queries:
Identified billing errors / queries to be referred to Utilities Manager for verification and subsequently logged on Utilities Manager’s approval.
Maintain a register of all queries logged with Municipality
